About Beth Ringsmuth Stolpman

I am a 2003 graduate of St. Cloud State University with a B.A. in English/creative writing. I commute to graduate school from the St. Cloud area, which is where I am employed in a public library setting and have been for 10+ years. I began library school at the College of St. Catherine/Dominican University in the summer of 2006. I will complete my coursework in April and graduate in May of 2009 with my MLIS from Dominican University.

How does this blog work? I have tagged all posts from my Library 2.0 course with Michael Stephens with “library 2.0″ and all my posts from my independent study on the history young adult literature with Debra Mitts-Smith with “LIS801.” To sort posts, click the relevant tag words in the column. Beth: Where do you come from? I am a 69 year old man with a wife and three children. My Stolpman ancestors (Prussian) are from Rosen, MN. My father’s name was Bernard Stolpman and his father was Marcus Stolpman. Are you part of the Victor Stolpman group from St. Cloud.

There are Stolpman’s in St. Cloud that are in my wider family. The male in the St. Cloud family was Wilfred (Bud) Stolpman (deceased). He left 4 children: Rick, Kathy, Jeanne, and Paula. A fifth child died in childhood. Do you know them?

I have 3 children: David, Jennifer and Sarah. They all live in Minneapolis. David is a physician, Jennifer is a marketing manager with General Mills, and Sarah is a patent attorney. They are all married. I have 5 grandchildren.

Please let me know where you fit into the Stolpman diaspora.

    Thanks, Ron Stolpman
